Best Man Wedding Toast - Practice Makes Perfect - What You Need To Know

It's easier than you think. If you want to make sure that you give a memorable toast, then you need to plan to set some time aside to practice the toast. Most folks don't have a clue of what to do, when it comes to giving a toast and talking in front of a group of people. It is a fact that talking in front of people is the number one fear that people have in life. Most people would rather die then have to get up in front of a group of people and talk. Fear is what causes that feeling. Fear is there because you lack knowledge about how to talk in front of people, along with being unprepared. You need to gain this knowledge and you can be on your way to giving a great toast and be able to enjoy the moment, not wish you would die.
Things you need to know to get you ready are, first of all you need to have a toast so that you can practice it and be prepare to deliver it. You need to keep your toast to no more than four paragraphs long. You want the toast to express the joy that you feel about your best friend finding someone special to spend the rest of their lives with. Once you have the toast then practice it by taking one sentence at a time and saying it back to your self till you can remember it without looking at your paper.
Then go on to the next sentence and do the same thing, then run the the two sentences together till you can recite them together without looking at the paper. You need to keep in mind that it takes about 20 times of running something through your memory before you will be able to memorize it. Before you know it you will be reciting the entire toast. Then practice in front of a mirror and watch your body language as you talk. You want to keep a smile on your face to set the mood.
If you find that you can not write a toast then get online and find a wedding toast book they will have prewritten toasts and you can select the one that is right for you.

  1. Hello! I just came across your blog today while I was searching for some help on the speech I need to give on my best friend's wedding. I'm a terrible public speaker and I decided to check out some best man speech samples before the wedding. I didn't want to embarrass my friend in front of everyone so I'm really thankful you came as a life saver.
